CPC Ministries (short for Cuerdas para Cristo) is dedicated to producing professional violinists and cellists for the music ministry in God's Kingdom. We strive for them to know God intimately through praise, worship, and prayer. We want to facilitate their participation with the rest of the band and give them a larger role in all styles of music using both acoustic and electric violins and cellos with all sorts of effects pedals and bowing techniques. We also want them to know how to minister spiritually with their instruments to believers and unbelievers alike and in this way expand God's Kingdom.

I'm planning to have my students play in the plaza this spring (September). I'm arranging several songs to play, one of which I've already finished. I believe that using the music to evangelize is key to the success of our ministry here. Aside from being something that can attract a lot of attention, it will really put the students to work in building God's Kingdom and show them that the time they spend practicing matters a lot.

We've felt really led to focus diligently on having intercessory prayer every Thursday night for the future of our church. It's important because the students often get taken up with school, homework, or their job when we must remember to seek God's kingdom first. People have been showing up for prayer and God is moving. Also our last youth service was great.

Pray for the personal development of each of my students. Currently I have 9: Stefanía, Tomás, Jónatan, Rocío, Marcela, Sebastián, David, Melina, and Miguel. I'm also expecting to have some cello students soon. Pray that they really learn what it means to do their best as musicians in God's kingdom and to put God's work first in their lives.

I'll leave you with a little rendition of ours of a classic Suzuki piece, Perpetual Motion:
