CPC Ministries (short for Cuerdas para Cristo) is dedicated to producing professional violinists and cellists for the music ministry in God's Kingdom. We strive for them to know God intimately through praise, worship, and prayer. We want to facilitate their participation with the rest of the band and give them a larger role in all styles of music using both acoustic and electric violins and cellos with all sorts of effects pedals and bowing techniques. We also want them to know how to minister spiritually with their instruments to believers and unbelievers alike and in this way expand God's Kingdom.

Tuesday nights we have beginner Bible courses for newer believers. A little over a month ago I took over it, and since then it has grown. Right now, we're teaching a course on comparative religions and sects like Catholicism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, and Islam. One of our members said she had no idea the Catholics were wrong on so many doctrines. It's so important that our people are learning to give coherent answers to those who ask tough questions about our faith. A couple of our leaders noticed that since this meeting is on a weekday, there is more traffic passing by our church and more people stopping and curiously looking inside our front doors. So they have taken it upon themselves to evangelize at the door on Tuesday nights as well.

My violin students and I have been evangelizing in the plaza with our instruments. Pray that God will use it to attract more attention to His life-changing Holy Spirit.

These past couple of weeks we have improved our evangelism methods in the plaza.  We start earlier in the day while there's more people out. Last Sunday, a guy named Darío Ramos visited our church to help with evangelism and ministry in our church. He works as a clown and is dedicated to children's ministry. He made balloons, told jokes, and did magic tricks which attracted many in the plaza. I was pleased to play background music on my violin while he did his act and shared what God has done in his life.

Next Sunday my students will be playing in the plaza. Pray that people will be responsive to our message and that the Holy Spirit will urge them to get to know Him and become a part of His Kingdom.

A man by the name of Jorge Torres has been visiting our church a couple of times on Tuesdays. He's a part of a larger church called Visión del Futuro and works in the production of a TV show called La Otra TV on the channel "Canal Luz". On it they interview different kinds of people working for God´s Kingdom, and he asked me to be on his show as a guest. I gladly accepted and had a great time witnessing and sharing about our work here in the center of Buenos Aires with people who need Christ so much. I also enjoyed sharing about my work in music. He says the program is seen throughout Latin America and Miami.

And since we've had Father's Day since my last update, I'd like to give a shout-out to my dad who spent hours taking my brother and I to our music lessons every week in the car. He's been an excellent example of what it means to live by faith, completely dedicated to God's calling even when you don't know exactly what God has next for you.

Please pray that as soon as the institute is started, God will annoint it and everything we teach there. Pray that God will use us to help people discover their calling in God's Kingdom and invest everything in it. We're expecting great things to come!

Hi everyone! CPC Ministries has a new member! His name is Lucas Ramos, he´s 12 and has been attending our church with his mom for a couple months now.

It´s refreshing, because over the last year and a half or so, I've lost a lot of violin students in our church for several different reasons. In about a month or 2, I plan to have Lucas, David, and Melina play the violins out on the street alongside the evangelism team. Pray that God will use us to attract attention to our work here in Congreso.

By August I would like to begin the music institute in our church that specializes in stringed instruments and has several different music and Bible courses. It´s a good time since we have the facilities in our new building. It´s also important so the students see it less as a violin club and more as a ministry, a calling.

And since it was just Mother's Day, I'll give a recognition to my mom. I'm thankful for her Godly example and that, unlike so many people, she took my music education seriously and taught me how to work hard at it, so I could become God's musician that I am today.

Blessings! Sorry it's been so long since my last update; there's a lot that's happened. During the church move which was a big job, we were able to get together some decent Christmas music to perform this year. My students played Jingle bells and Silent night.

The delay in my newsletter is because I've moved out of my old apartment and because the phone company was very slow installing it in my new apartment. Starting in December there was a major infestation of cockroaches where I was living before. Aside from it being summer here, it happened because most of the people in the building do not fumigate since they use it for office space and are not there when the fumigator arrives. I had to leave because they would get into my electronic equipment and destroy it. So I moved back in with my parents for a couple of weeks, looking for an apartment. Then God blessed me. The Landins are staying in Paraguay again this year until December, which is unfortunate since they will be missed, but they are renting out their small apartment to me which is very nice and just around the corner from the new church building. They plan to rent a larger apartment for themselves when they get back.

The Landins also invited me to spend a couple of weeks with them in their town in Paraguay which is San Juan Nepomuceno. Since I've never really been on vacation, I accepted. It was really nice to get to know their friends and family. I also ministered in music in their local church. They are very kind-hearted people.

I came back the first week of February. I'm finally settled and am setting up projects for this year.
